GIVE US THIS DAY ... A visionary description of one day in the life and work of Icelandic fishermen in an open rowingboat before the dawn of age of mechanization. This one winter's day encapsulates a thousand years fishing and seamanship in Iceland. We gain an insight into an inner and outer world, where manual labour, man's beliefs in Nature, Christendom, superstition and magic are interwoven. This is the only film of it's kind so far. |
